You are generating 1 logo mark for a software product, in the manner of the marks of Notion, Linear, Vercel, Slack, Miro, Airtable, Intercom, PostHog, Webflow, Mintlify and Claude: one flat geometric symbol on an app-icon tile. It is a logo, not an illustration and not an icon from a set.

THE PRODUCT AND THE CONCEPT

## 1. The canvas

- Square, 1:1.
- The whole canvas is one flat light grey (#f3f3f1), edge to edge. No gradient, no vignette, no texture, no floor, no shadow.
- Centred on it, one app-icon tile: a rounded square with smooth iOS-style continuous corners, corner radius about 22% of the tile side. The tile spans 70% of the canvas width, so a 15% band of grey stays on every side. The tile is one flat colour, chosen by section 4. No border, no shadow, no highlight, no inner glow, no gloss.
- Nothing else on the canvas. No second tile, no text, no caption, no wordmark, no dock, no device, no mockup.

## 2. The mark

One symbol on the tile, built in the 1 family from section 3 that the concept names.

- Flat fills only. No gradients, no shading, no highlights, no drop shadow, no bevel, no perspective depth, no 3D rendering, no texture. Every edge crisp, every shape one flat colour.
- Geometry only: circles, straight bars, triangles, parallelograms, rounded bars with round caps, arcs of a circle. Corners are either sharp or fully round, as the family says, never in between.
- Nothing passes over or under anything else. Where shapes overlap they fuse flat into one silhouette; a path never crosses itself; there is no depth, no weave, no shadow where one shape meets another.
- Copies of one primitive are identical: the same length, the same thickness, the same end cut, unless the concept says how they differ.
- Heavy. A bar or stroke is 12 to 16% of the tile side thick. If the symbol would look like a thin line icon, make it heavier.
- It fills 50 to 60% of the tile, optically centred, with an even margin on all sides. Nothing touches or crosses the tile edge.
- Every gap is open and every shape is distinct at 16 pixels: one silhouette, read at a glance.
- No letters, digits or words, unless the family is Letterform, and then exactly the 1 letter the concept names.
- Not a scene: no ground line, no figure, no face, no hands, no background objects. Not a category icon: no gear, cloud, rocket, lightbulb, bar chart, magnifying glass or shield.

## 3. The five families

The reference marks fall into 5 families. The concept names 1 of them; build the mark by that family's rules and no other's.

**Solid primitive**, in the manner of Vercel's triangle and Miro's three bars.
- The mark is 1 or 2 geometric shapes: a triangle, a square, a bar with slanted ends, a parallelogram, a circle, a chevron. Where 2 overlap they fuse into 1 silhouette.
- Every corner is sharp and mitred. No rounding anywhere on the mark.
- One flat fill: white on a black or brand-colour tile, or black on a white or bright tile. Never 2 colours on the mark.
- Big and still: it fills 55% of the tile, centred, symmetrical about the vertical axis unless the concept asks for a lean. A bar is at least 14% of the tile side thick; a triangle is filled edge to edge.
- Nothing decorates it: no dot, no cut, no notch, no second shape, no outline.

**Repeated primitive**, in the manner of Slack's four pills, Claude's twelve rays, Linear's four stripes and Intercom's four bars.
- Choose 1 primitive: a bar, a pill (a bar with fully round caps), a ray, a stripe, a dot. The mark is that primitive repeated 3 to 12 times and nothing else.
- Choose 1 rhythm: parallel copies stepping in length or height, like a bar chart with no axes; radial copies meeting at a centre point, like an asterisk; rotational copies turning 90° around the centre, like a hash or a pinwheel; or a stack of diagonal stripes clipped to a bounding shape such as a circle.
- Each copy is the same weight, 12 to 15% of the tile side thick, with equal gaps between copies of about the same width as the copy. Gaps stay open at 16 pixels.
- Corners commit to one: all fully round (pills, rays) or all sharp (bars, stripes).
- Colour: 1 colour for all copies, or 1 colour per copy up to 4 (blue, green, yellow, red on a dark aubergine or black tile), used only when the copies turn around a centre. Parallel copies are always 1 colour.
- The copies stay inside a square or circle silhouette, 55% of the tile, centred. Nothing joins them: no frame, no baseline, no centre dot, no outline.

**Letterform**, in the manner of Webflow's W, Miro's M and Notion's N.
- The mark is exactly 1 capital letter, the product's initial, named in the concept. No other letter, no second character, no wordmark.
- It is not typeset. It is built from 2 or 3 heavy strokes that read as the letter: bars, slants, chevrons. Stroke weight is 14 to 18% of the tile side. Counters and gaps stay open at 16 pixels.
- The strokes end in cuts, not serifs: flat, or slanted the same angle all through the mark, like marker strokes. One corner at most may be rounded off, as Webflow rounds the top-left of the W; every other corner is sharp.
- One flat fill: white on a brand-colour tile, or black on a bright tile. Never 2 colours.
- The letter fills 55 to 60% of the tile, optically centred (a W sits a little low, an A a little high). It may be tilted up to 10° or its strokes staggered, once, to show movement. No outline, no shadow, no 3D extrusion, no page or box around it.

**Faceted object**, in the manner of Airtable's box and Notion's page.
- The mark is 1 everyday object named in the concept, a box, a page, a tray, a card, a block, seen from above in isometric projection: 30° angles, parallel edges, no vanishing point.
- It shows exactly 2 or 3 faces, each a flat parallelogram or rectangle. That is the whole drawing. No edges drawn as lines, no shading, no light source, no cast shadow, no inside detail.
- Each face is 1 flat colour of its own, up to 3 saturated colours (a marigold top, a red left face, a cobalt right face is the reference). A hairline gap of tile colour separates the faces, about 3% of the tile side.
- Corners are sharp. The object is solid, not an outline. The tile is white or near-white and the faces carry all the colour. The object fills 55% of the tile, centred.
- Nothing rests on or comes out of the object: no lid ajar, no papers, no sparkle, no second object.

**Soft stroke**, in the manner of Mintlify's leaf and Intercom's bubble.
- The mark is 1 thick stroke, 14 to 18% of the tile side, with fully round caps, drawn as 1 continuous path of straight segments and circular arcs. It may be joined by up to 3 short round-capped pills.
- The stroke wraps a counter: a hole of negative space, circular or rounded, that is part of the picture. The counter is at least as wide as the stroke and stays open at 16 pixels.
- Every corner and every end is fully round. Nothing sharp anywhere on the mark.
- Colour: 1 hue only. Either 1 flat tone, or the stroke split along its length into a lighter and a darker tone of the same hue (the reference is light green into dark green). No third colour.
- The tile is black, white or a deep tone of the same hue, and the stroke fills 55% of it, centred. No outline, no gradient inside the stroke, no shadow, no face unless the concept names one, no extra dots.

## 4. Colour

- The tile is one colour. The mark is 1 colour, or 1 colour per copy of the primitive where the family allows it, up to 4. Nothing else.
- When the concept names a brand colour, that is the tile, and the mark is white or near-black on it, whichever contrasts more. When it names none, pick 1 saturated colour that fits the product's mood: a cobalt blue, a warm terracotta, a marigold yellow, a forest green, an aubergine, or plain black or white for a tool that wants to feel like infrastructure.
- Black is #0b0b0b, white is #ffffff. Never a grey mark on a grey tile.

## 5. Task

1. Read the product and the concept. Name the family and the symbol in one line, as geometry: which primitives, how many, how arranged.
2. Build it exactly as that family describes. Count the primitives; drop any that the concept did not ask for.
3. Check the silhouette at 16 pixels: 1 clear shape, no accidental second picture (no face, no letter the concept did not name, no punctuation mark), every gap open.
4. Render it exactly as sections 1, 2 and 4 describe.
