pnpm installs packages by linking them from a global content-addressable store instead of copying files into every project. Faster installs, less disk space, and strict dependency isolation that catches phantom dependency bugs.

Native workspace support for monorepos. Compatible with npm's ecosystem: same package.json, same registry, same lockfile concept. Faster than npm and yarn in most benchmarks.
